The Peruse for Purpose (how to ignite the spark daily)

Nadav here.

Welcome to another Saturday edition!

I ask myself one daily question: “Is that it?”
it’s not like I've been through a lot during my 24 years of living, but I really want to have a genuine reason for why I am doing things and not be affected by others’ opinions and views on life.

I started to explore the word “purpose” and what it means to me.

The short answer is that it’s a never-ending path.

Let's face it, we've all been there – stuck in a rut, feeling like life's passing us by. We ask ourselves, "What's the point of it all?" Well, buckle up because we're about to dive into the challenge of finding purpose, and trust me, it's not as daunting as it sounds.

First things first, let's talk about trying new things.

Remember when you were a kid, and everything was an adventure? That's the spirit we need to channel. Whether it's learning to juggle, trying out that weird-looking fruit at the grocery store, or finally giving yoga a shot, new experiences are the spice of life. They shake up our routines and give us fresh perspectives. Who knows? Your next hobby might be the key to unlocking your purpose.

Now, let's chat about expanding your mind.

It sounds like something a fortune cookie would say, but hear me out. Reading and learning constantly isn't just for nerds or people with too much time on their hands. It's for anyone who wants to grow.

Pick up a book on a topic you know nothing about, watch a documentary on something that piques your interest, or have a deep conversation with someone whose views differ from yours. The more you learn, the more you'll understand about yourself and the world around you. And who knows? Your purpose might be hiding in the pages of that book you've meant to read.

But here's the kicker – living in the moment. We're all guilty of time-traveling in our minds, aren't we? We're either stuck in the past, reliving our embarrassing moments or glory days, or racing to the future, dreaming of better times.

Meanwhile, the present is slipping through our fingers like sand. The truth is the present is where life happens. It's where we make choices, form connections, and create memories. So, take a deep breath and look around you. What do you see? What do you feel? That's your life, right there.

Now, why do we spend so much time mentally time-traveling?

Often, it's because we're not happy with our current situation. We reminisce about the "good old days" or fantasize about a perfect future because our present feels lacking. But here's a thought – what if we used that dissatisfaction as fuel? Instead of escaping into daydreams, we could use that energy to change our lives.

Finding purpose isn't about having some grand epiphany or dramatic life change. It's about the small stuff – the daily choices we make, the people we connect with, the things we learn, and the experiences we embrace. It's about being present and engaged in our own lives.

So, here's your challenge:

Try something new this week. Pick up a book on a topic you've always been curious about. And most importantly, take a moment each day to be present. Notice the little things – the taste of your morning coffee, the sound of laughter, the feeling of sunshine on your skin.

Remember, finding purpose isn't a destination – it's a journey.
And the best part? You're already on it.

Every new experience, every bit of knowledge, every moment you're fully present – that's you, actively seeking and creating your purpose. So, keep at it. Your purpose isn't hiding from you; it's waiting for you to uncover it, one day at a time.

I recently read a nice thread that helped me find my purpose.
Have a look:

Thanks for taking the time to read this. It means a lot to me.

See you next Saturday!
